REVIEW ETUDE TINT MY BROW GEL || KEEKEE TAN

I have really thin eyebrow where from the middle till the end part it's almost gone, whenever i took a picture when i went to swimming i looked like i have no eyebrow... x_x
i really consider doing an eyebrow tattoo, lately it's become hype here in Indonesia to do korean eyebrow tattoo/embroidery, but i can't pull myself to do that because i'm afraid about the result and the price has a big influence as well, to have a good specialist is just too expensive for my budget :D

ETUDE HOUSE launched this product not too long ago, a new concept eyebrow gel tint that makes eyebrow makeup last longer after removing the tint, it supposed to last for a week.
it sounds good to me even just for few days or when i go to swimming pool / park not have to worry about my eyebrow.

How to apply

1) After trimming the eyebrows without applying skincare product or makeup, apply a liberal amount according to the desired shape of the eyebrow. (Apply a liberal amount to remove the pack easily.)
2) Dry for at least 2 hours. For stronger coloration, apply before going to bed at night and remove the next morning.
3) After drying completely, remove slowly starting from the tail of the eyebrow. (Do not remove the pack forcibly since it may pull out the eyebrow.)
4) Do not use a cleansing product (product with detergency) or apply force on the eyebrow area within 24 hours of using the product.

i have the shade 01 BROWN

the texture is like a liquid glue with tint and smells a bit like thinner, the packaging is very "regular" and i wish the applicator is slimmer so it will be easier to create more accurate shape.
but overall it's okay for me.

first i applied generous amount of product.

hahaha.. the shape was uneven..

look's great!!

 this is after i washed my face (in the morning), now you can almost see my actual very thin eyebrow

quite dissapointed because it dissapeared too much, it didn't showed up in the picture but the color became similar to Light-Brown (look at the color system above)
 i wish it could stay exactly as when i peel off the product.

it does say in the instruction:
Do not use a cleansing product (product with detergency)  or apply force on the eyebrow area within 24 hours of using the product.
detergency = sodium laureth / lauryl sulfate

I USED REGULAR CLEANSER GEL.. which contain detergency agent, maybe i use wrong product and for the second time i tried cleansing oil, the third time i tried OCM using organic oil (my favorite avocado+castor), the result was almost the same..
the best one was cleansing water..  the color just faded a bit.

i must say i was afraid trying this at first because it might've plucked my brow hair when i pull the product off, but it didn't, make sure to do it slowly.

* yes.. i can finally go swimming and still have eyebrow...

DISLIKE :
* quite pricey for the amount of product (5 gr for US$ 11)
* the smell quite disturbing
* dissapeared too much after washing the face (depending on the product)

i wanted to try this because i have lots of acne scars, freckles and brown spot that i want to cover, actually just the acne scar, i don't really care about my freckles though. it seems like a great product.

it comes in 3 shades :

vanilla, beige, sand

it has that funny bend shape big application tip which suppose to :

1. The wide tip flexibly moves around in any angle, from side to side, to cover completely and lightly even with a small amount of concealer BB for a light, full coverage look.
2. An arrowhead-shaped tip creates dual coverage to hide delicate flaws and create a much more refined look.

in my opinion.. any shape would be just the same, it's the tool to spread the product which create the difference.

i don't know what happened but my product came like this.. messy, and i think someone has opened the bottle before.

the hole in the bottle has a small outlet to prevent the product from spilling out.

at first i thought that i pick the wrong color because the color was too dark on the bottle. (i'm around NC15-20 and i usually use the lightest shade on korean product).

but it turns out lighter than it looks, it fits perfectly on my hand.
 but... (pls keep reading)

the consistency is very creamy a bit oily but not thick and quite hard to blend ( get it? ), it feels light on the skin after it set.
takes time to spread the product evenly.

the sweet scent was overwhelming for me ( little bit to strong, but i get used to it after few usage )

it's a bit sticky after applied, but it set pretty fast to a semi-matte not powdery finish.

CLING to my dry patches

i have dry-combination skin (a bit oily on t-zone) so i set with powder only on the t-zone area, because it feels dry around my cheek.

i use brush and my finger to apply, and i like the finger more, i think the warmth on the finger makes the product easier to spread and gives more coverage

it's obvious that i had put something on my face (only use 1 layer), it looked ghostly white at first even though i choose the second color
it look more natural / darker after the product blend into the skin around 30 minutes - 1 hour, means it oxidized to almost (lighter) the same color as it look on the bottle, and it started to give slight dewiness on my skin.

Coverage is GREAT but my acne spot not completely gone.
can be a little bit cakey on certain areas - like sides of the nose and for me also my chin where my pimples area.
i also use as eye concealer, it covered nicely and didn't crease / dry
i have acne and dark acne spot around my chin, it covered pretty good but my dry patches are showing up more

wear this from morning 7am until 7pm (no primer)

i have dry-combination skin, it begin to fade and oily after 4-5 hours around my t-zone.
by the time i got home (7PM) the product around my nose and acne spot was completely disappeared (duhh.. 12 hours??)

i think this suitable for normal combination-oily skin (with primer and a bit of powder on t-zone area)

LIKE :

* Great Coverage

* Can be use as concealer only or under the eye
* It doesn't crease / dry as eye concealer

DISLIKE :

* Cling to my dry patches

* Have to be careful on color selection

* A bit dry for my dry-combination skin, especially on cheek area

* Contain Perfume

* Look a bit unnatural upon application, took too long to blend into the skin
* Can be a bit cakey on certain areas
* Didn't hold up long enough for me
* this is neither Like or Dislike but i think the applicator doesn't have any role here hahaha.. but that's just my opinion

Repurchase ? I think NO....
